Windows 7 update could take over 20 hours to complete
Update your operating system through "approach in place" has always come at the expense of some performance problems and stability, but we never imagined it could take 20 hours to complete!
According to a new study released by the Microsoft software engineer Chris Hernandez, the update times can vary widely depending on your hardware configuration and the quantity of data you need to migrate during installation. The worst timed recorded during the test was a whopping 20 hours and 20 minutes for a "Super User" who had about 650Gb of data, and about 40 applications installed before the upgrade. This may sound like a pretty niche scenario some of you, but I imagine that at least some of our readers (myself included) fall into this category.
A quick glanced at the letter reveals that even the "average user" face update times which are 3 or 4 times more than a clean installation. If we have not discussed that "instead of" updates for now, probably will not be able, but at least the previous chart can help you calculate how long it takes to put aside.
